A long‑established defence manufacturer is recruiting experienced MIG Welders to support secured military vehicle and equipment programmes. This is hands‑on, high‑specification work producing armour and complex welded assemblies for defence platforms, with long‑term stability and consistent workload.

The role

• MIG welding on armour plate, armoured steel, or aluminium components
• Manufacturing assemblies using jigs and fixtures to engineering drawings and work instructions
• Working to military standards, tight tolerances, and defined quality requirements
• Tack welding using MIG/MAG processes
• Carrying out visual inspection and supporting NDT checks
• Understanding materials behaviour, residual stress, and weld quality on complex assemblies
• Completing work records accurately (SAP or similar MRP systems) ...
