Responsibilities


+ Prepare microbiological media for in-house food testing purposes

+ Maintain an inventory of microbiological media formats to support testing

+ Coordinate sample destruction after results entry

+ Maintain autoclave records for routine analysis preparation and destruction

+ Conduct microbiological analyses of food ingredients, finished products, and environmental swabs

+ Plate for hygiene indicators and perform molecular testing for food-borne pathogens

+ Assist in sample preparation and receiving as needed

+ Interpret and review microbiological data


Requirements


+ B.S. in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology or related field; or 5+ years of food microbiology work experience if no degree
