Job Description

Do you like talking about the weather? Do you like telling stories about science and our environment? KRCR has an exciting opportunity to join the #1 news team in Northern California as a Meteorologist / MMJ. This unique hybrid role presents the weather forecast on weekends and reports in the field 3 days a week. 
Responsibilities:
Produce and present weather reports that are engaging and impactful to viewers
Create weathercasts and other content for our broadcast, digital, and social platforms
Research, write, and deliver weather stories in a clear and concise manner
Pitch story ideas, develop contacts, and report 3 days a week
Work with the weather team. managers, and producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations
Fill-in coverage for morning and evening meteorologists 
Take part in promotional station opportunities, including public appearances
