 Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Mental Health Specialist II in the Emergency Screeningin the Acute Psychiatric Services (APS) – Piscataway of Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, will provide services which support the delivery of clinical services in the Unit.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Takes primary responsibility for answering telephone calls from consumers.

Documents all telephone calls in the Acute Psychiatric Services (APS) telephone log or Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with Rutgers UBHC policy, University policy, Joint Commission standards and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) requirements.

Refers consumer calls to a clinician as directed by the Program Coordinator.
