Job Description: Summary: The Medical Technologist is responsible for the independent performance of complex and specialized testing to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Required to demonstrate both practical knowledge and theoretical understanding of procedures in the clinical areas. Expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the specific principles used in diagnostic testing in order to recognize deviations in expected results, analyze technical problems and make necessary corrections to achieve quality results. The ability to operate and maintain a variety of complex scientific equipment is a requirement of this job. Responsibilities include moderate troubleshooting and repair of selected instrumentation.
