Medical Physicist (Qualified Medical Physicist – QMP)

POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking a Qualified Medical Physicist (QMP) to provide comprehensive medical physics services to the Cheyenne River Health Center.

This is a non-personal services contract role , where the physicist operates independently under the contractor and is not supervised by the government.

The role involves ensuring the safety, compliance, and optimal performance of diagnostic imaging equipment , while supporting clinical operations through testing, inspections, and quality assurance programs. 2.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES A.

Regulatory Compliance & Radiation Safety Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, including:

• ACR (American College of Radiology) TJC (The Joint Commission) MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) OSHA (29 CFR 1910.1096) Immediately report unsafe conditions to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) Conduct radiation safety audits and support facility compliance programs B.
