About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Technical Manager of the Community Based Laboratories, the Laboratory Technical Specialist performs and analyzes procedures offered by the divisions using appropriate methodologies and quality assurance techniques under the direction of the technical management team and medical leadership. The Technical Specialist maintains and demonstrates a high level of technical expertise, with a focus on preanalytical processes. This position will have primary responsibility for pre-analytical process within the Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre including blood collection and specimen receiving and processing. The Technical Specialist will also support preanalytical processes in the other Community Based Laboratories.
