Medical Assistant

Overview of the Position: 

The Medical Assistant is an essential member of the patient center medical home team. The Medical Assistant is responsible for coordination of care between the patient and medical provider, while helping support the clinical team with effective and efficient delivery of health care services.

Education and Experience:

•Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited school

•National CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required

•BLS certification required

Required Skills / Abilities:

•Maintain current general medical knowledge.

•Ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and guest.

•Ability to take initiative and handle various task simultaneously

•Knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and protocols

•Knowledge of data bases (ex: EMR systems)
