Media Systems Migration Engineer

Type: Contract, per-project.
Location: Remote - within LATAM time zones (GMT-3 to GMT-5)
Availability: Contractor (40 hours per week)
Role Summary
A global media organization is modernizing its archival ecosystem, migrating content, metadata, and workflows from a legacy Avid MAM + DIVA + AWS S3 environment into Mimir MAM and Google Cloud Storage (GCS). We are seeking a Media Systems Migration Engineer with strong Avid MAM expertise, hands-on experience working with AXF metadata, and solid Python engineering skills to support media and metadata migration workflows.
This role focuses on metadata integrity, AXF analysis, transformation, validation, and ingestion, rather than infrastructure or DevOps ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and process Avid AXF exports (assignments, stories, clips, media objects).
Extract, validate, and normalize Avid metadata using Python-based workflows.
