Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector to join our client’s busy vehicle operations site in Rochester. This role is ideal for a newly qualified apprentice looking to progress, or an experienced technician seeking a step back from heavy, on-the-tools work while still using their mechanical skills.


The Role:


As a Mechanical Vehicle Inspector, you will carry out detailed inspections on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring accurate reporting, fault identification and high workshop standards. Your tasks will include:

  • Completing mechanical inspections across various vehicles

  • Road testing vehicles to identify faults

  • Recording all defects using company hardware

  • Capturing clear imagery to support reported issues

  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems where required

  • Supporting with Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)
