Mechanical Fitter – Permanent Position

Job Overview

We are recruiting two mechanical fitters for a permanent role based in Nelson, Lancashire. This role offers a yearly salary of £33,157.80 (approximately £16.35 per hour) plus overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate. You will work 39 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday 07:30‑16:30 and Friday 07:30‑12:30.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
• Modify and rebuild existing machines.
• Manufacture new machines.
• Read and work from design drawings.
• Maintain a selection of spare parts for the machines.
• Communicate and report progress to your manager.
• Identify and report snagging details that need correcting.
• Work to a high standard through manufacturing and rebuilding activities.
