We're recruiting 2-3 Mechanical Fitters for a well-established engineering business within the rail sector. Due to continued growth and increased workload, they're looking to strengthen their skilled team.

The role

This is a practical, hands-on position working on a variety of mechanical systems and components, primarily rail-related. The role is mainly workshop-based with occasional site work.

Key responsibilities:

Installation, assembly and alignment of mechanical components and equipment
Maintenance and repair of rail systems, including work on damaged rolling stock
Fault finding and completing corrective repairs
Working with pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, valves and rotating equipment
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
Completing job reports and maintenance records accurately
