Mechanical Field Engineer

Overview

As an Amazon field engineer, you will provide full support for AWS datacenters, from the start of the project to the improvement and maintenance of the facilities. You will be your region's primary engineering resource when technical advice is needed, and you will work with other teams to solve problems and drive improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Solve problems, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action Plans (CA) for electrical and mechanical system failures, including but not limited to: HVAC, fire protection, fuel distribution, pumping and others.
• Directly support the physical infrastructure operation team with training, operational procedure reviews, and event support.
• Propose existing data center upgrades and design solutions that add capacity, improve availability, increase energy efficiency, and sustainability.
