Job Description:Ensure compliance with mechanical engineering practices at the mine. Maintain legal standards for mechanical plant, equipment, and personnel. Establish and maintain compliant, safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical engineering systems and procedures. Seek to improve performance through engineering enhancements. Develop and communicate mechanical engineering strategies and plans to the workforce, demonstrating strong leadership.
As our Mechanical Engineering Manager (MEM), you will be accountable for delivering annual maintenance targets for equipment. This includes providing technical advice to the Long-Term Planner and Maintenance Superintendents to optimise equipment availability and reliability in your area. The MEM is a statutory position responsible for establishing and maintaining mechanical maintenance practices compliant with the Coal Mining Act and Regulations.
