Mechanical Engineer - Valve Specialist

This hybrid role is suited to candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater or those willing to relocate with support provided.

You will act as the valve engineering specialist supporting safety-classified nuclear plant systems.

The role spans design review, construction support, commissioning activities and technical acceptance.

Review valve-related design changes, concessions and technical queries

⚙️Provide technical oversight across valve design, installation and testing

️Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, quality and regulatory requirements

Assess supplier documentation, specifications and engineering justifications

Coordinate technical interfaces with contractors, designers and manufacturers

Support resolution of complex valve engineering and operational issues
