Mechanical Engineer (Piping - Marine EPC)

Evaluate machinery and equipment specifications to ensure they meet technical requirements; interpret classification rules and respond to review comments.

Familiar with equipment specifications and installation requirements for main engines, generators, propulsion systems, gearboxes, hydraulic equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems.

Knowledgeable in marine piping systems including bilge, ballast, tank gauging, cooling, fuel oil, sanitary, fire protection, and others. Capable of selecting appropriate pump types, compressors, pipe materials, thicknesses, valves, and fittings that meet pressure ratings and functional needs.

Coordinate with designers and vendors to develop pipe schematic diagrams, machinery space equipment layouts, and equipment installation plans.

Review mechanical interfaces for major equipment such as main engines, gearboxes, and propeller shafting.
