Mechanical Engineer II

SUMMARY: As a developing professional in Mechanical Engineering, the person in this role will provide support to the development of the robotics system, which is the backbone of the surgical procedure. Your work will directly contribute to improving access to care for hundreds of thousands of patients a year.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

+ Take part in design review over a robotic sub-system during new product development.  This work involves structural design, motor selection and integration, and drivetrain design for a multiple degree-of-freedom robot. 

+ Collaborate with engineering consultants to incorporate industrial design and usability improvements.  

+ Identify problem statements, brainstorm creative solutions, prototype systems, and iterate on the design for a production-ready solution
