Mechanical Engineer / Fitter

Responsibilities

Service, inspect, overhaul, and commission industrial pumps and safety valves. Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and planned inspections. Diagnose faults and undertake repairs, rebuilds, and installations. Work with a variety of pump types, including centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. Perform electrical fault-finding and basic electrical work associated with pumps, motors, and control systems. Complete service reports, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation. Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures. Participate in an on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 4) to provide emergency customer support. A mix of workshop and site based work.
