Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description
Responsible for mechanical design and development activities for automation solutions used internally at Agilent manufacturing sites (including proposals, technical and risk assessments, concept studies, detailed designs, analyses, drawings, prototypes, tests, etc.).
Propose mechanical architecture/outline, component placement, CAD database management, platform standardization, etc.
Responsible for component sizing, calculations, and selection required for the automation systems.
Serve as the key estimator for mechanical BOM cost.
Produce detailed part and assembly 2D drawings/3D models and prepare the BOM required for procurement.
Conduct mechanical engineering tests, characterizations, cyclic tests, and reliability tests according to requirements.
Communicate and collaborate with internal teams (PM, marketing/internal customers, test engineers, application engineers, hardware engineers, firmware engineers, software engineers, production engineers,...
