Job Description

Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer
The purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer position is to design, develop, and ensure compliance with ASME/ANSI standards within custom fabrications. 
Responsibilities
Design systems in Solidworks based on sold jobs.
Collaborate with Application Engineers and Sales to develop engineered solutions.
Compare P&ID drawings to system quotes to ensure accuracy and revise as necessary.
Perform necessary engineering calculations such as NPSH calculations, pressure drops, and pump/flow meter sizing.
Work with OEM vendors to ensure ASME/ANSI design compliance.
Provide instructions to ensure fabricators build within compliance standards.
Build weld maps, frame, or structural design layouts.
Complete revisions of drawings per customer markups and coordinate scope changes.
Prepare detailed Bill of Material (BOM) for each system.
