Mechanical Design Engineer

+ Manage BOM & drawing changes through a standard revision/Engineering Change Order
+ Design and develop parts and assemblies using SolidWorks. Create models, assembly drawings, & manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
+ Gather detailed information on vendor supplied components and create vendor control drawings.
+ Prepare any additional mechanical support needed for projects such as welding/machining fixtures, layout drawings, field installation procedures, and any other pertinent documentation.
+ Convert legacy drawings from AutoCAD to SolidWorks.
+ Develop subject matter expertise on assigned product line.
+ Check and review drawings and documents for accuracy and errors, ensuring designs and drawings are functional and manufacturable.
+ Capture meeting minutes and other notes from customer interaction to document needs of customer and changes during project.
