We’re recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a leading engineering business based in Birmingham on a hybrid contract basis. The role focuses on the design of mechanical and mechatronic systems for automation and motion-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical design of mechanisms, kinematics, and linkages

*

3D CAD design and detailing using SolidWorks

*

Development of mechatronic and automated systems

*

Integration of actuators, motion control components, and sensors

*

Supporting prototyping and proof-of-concept builds

*

Applying DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles

*

Working closely with manufacturing and cross-disciplinary engineering teams
