Essential Duties/Responsibilities
:
Install, maintain, test, inspect, and repair equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, motors, valves, condensers, heat exchanger vessels, etc.Replaces bearings, packing in pumps and valves, shaft seals, sleeves, seats, and other miscellaneous parts used in plant equipment.Troubleshoot stationary and rotating equipment. Make repairs as need in accordance with best practices.Operate machine shop equipment such as drill presses, lathes and boring mills.Repair or replace defective parts.Adjust clearances and tolerances on equipment, working from a blueprint, pattern or design drawing, lays out.Use micrometers and other precision devices.Design and build special tools and apparatus to facilitate work.Scrape and fits bearings on rotating equipment.Checks equipment operation by observing oil pressures and levels, foreign soun...
