Albany Med’s Psychiatry department includes a 26-bed acute inpatient unit, a consultation-liaison service seeing patients throughout the hospital, an outpatient psychiatry teaching clinic, an outpatient practice, and an integrated care program at multiple clinical sites. Our ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program has 28 residents and trains Albany Medical College medical and physician assistant students, as well as psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral fellows.
Responsibilities include:
+ Provide direct adult or child and adolescent hospital based and outpatient psychiatric care
+ Hospital and ER consultation
+ ECT and TMS
+ Education and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students
