Maths & English Tutor

Overview

Prospero Teaching seeks a passionate, confident and patient Maths and English Tutor to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons as an alternate education provider at a secondary level. The role supports and re‑engages young people, provides structure to their routine, and aids their return to school.

Key Details

• Ongoing placement until the young person returns to school.
• Hours dependent on the young person’s needs, typically 6‑10 hours per week during school hours.
• Pay: £25–£30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Desired Candidate

• Experience tutoring Maths and English on a 1:1 or small group basis.
• QTS desirable but not essential.
• Creative, patient and willing to think outside the box.
• Experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils.

Required Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
