Job Description

The Maternal Support Services Nurse, under the supervision of the Health Director, is responsible for delivering and coordinating client care in accordance with clinical standards, professional practice guidelines, and organizational policies. The role involves independent clinical decision-making, appropriate delegation, and collaboration within an interprofessional care team. Practice aligns with the Standards of Practice set by the applicable Manitoba nursing regulatory body, based on the nurse's designation, competencies, and experience. The nurse provides culturally safe, trauma-informed, and family-centred care to pregnant and postpartum clients, with a focus on improving maternal and infant health outcomes.
