Learn more about this authority at: Direct Hire Authority This Materials Handler (Wildland Fire) position is with the US Wildland Fire Service, WG-6907-6 working in the following location(s): Boise, Idaho Responsibilities As a Materials Handler (Wildland Fire) your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Receives and stores a wide variety of NFES wildland fire materials (equipment and supplies), to include new, refurbished, and hazardous products. Assembles and/or makes basic or limited repairs to wildland fire supply kits from individual components according to NFES standards. Assists in evaluating and monitoring stock levels and turnover rates to ensure adequate supplies in primary warehouses by coordinating item transfers from secondary warehouses and temporary staging areas.
