Materials Handler Supervisor

Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Supervise an operation that performs receiving, storing, picking, packing and material handling equipment operations. Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections for a period of time that extends beyond one month. Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequence, in accordance with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by higher level supervisors. Coordinates work with other supervisors who supervise supporting or related work functions Determines the number and types of workers needed for specific projects. Redirects workers and resources to accomplished unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations, but requires higher approval for additional employees, overtime, etc. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures for the work supervised.
