Job Description
The Materials and Production Planning Supervisor directly manages material handlers and develops the production schedule. This team member must be a high energy, multi-tasker and problem solver who can build strong internal and external relationships to assure that customer needs are fulfilled on time.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Manage material handlers including monitoring hours, pay, performance, coaching, annual reviews, disciplinary, etc. · Develop, manage, and staff/cover production schedule · Schedule releases to mill/outside suppliers and customers · Work directly with customers to determine accurate forecasts · Create and manage mill and processor forecasts and releases for direct material · Manage all mill/outside suppliers’ concerns · Order entry, order tracking, status review, and gathering market intelligence · Maintain the inventory supply/demand balance · Resolve inventory supply/demand exceptions with appropriate people · Professionally communicate with cu...
