• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine the specifications and requirements of the project
• Set up and operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG and stick welders, to weld metal parts together
• Prepare and clean metal surfaces to be welded, ensuring they are free from contaminants
• Inspect complete welds for quality, ensuring they meet safety and design standards
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of welding equipment
