Master Mechanic

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager and will assist with the overall maintenance and reliability improvement efforts for the plant. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance to ensure all machines are functioning safely and efficiently. The maintenance tech also responds to machine and/or system failures and must be able to troubleshoot when necessary

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance (PM) on all machinery and equipment based on schedule. Repair or replace defective parts. Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Set up and operate welder, mill, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Set up new equipment lines and equipment change overs. Assist in maintaining inventory of parts to assure repairs are done in a timely manner. Keep tools, shop, and work area organized and clean.
