Job Description:

• To make sure that vessels abide by all applicable laws and regulations, with a focus on the ISM code, the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, as well as the laws of the flag state, the port state, and the particular requirements of the industry; additionally, to provide maritime support to ships as needed.
• Assistance with issues pertaining to communication between charterers and charter parties.
• The Bulk Carrier Vessels assigned to the Marine Superintendent are accountable for their safe, effective, and environmentally responsible operation, particularly with respect to navigation and cargo operations in compliance with current Class, Flag, and ISM regulations.
• Plan, evaluate, and carry out procedures pertaining to cargo operations, such as the examination of the stowage plan, among other things.
