Job Description

Summary
 : An HDR Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer works to support, design, and develop tools and manufacturing processes used in the production of Samtec’s HDR product line. 

Functions:
Work individually and/or with a team to scope, concept, design, and implement mechanical solutions to specific needs defined by internal customers.
Turn concepts into SolidWorks models that accurately show the designed mechanical intent of tools and assemblies. 
Understand fabrication methods of designed solutions.
Monitor and control project costs and ensure solutions are within acceptable budget constraints. 
Create test plans that have clearly defined and communicated measurables for success. 
Use statistical analysis to communicate the effectiveness of tools and processes to internal stakeholders. 
Support manufacturing quality through tool design and process updates.
