Manual Machinist

Job Description

Experienced Manual Machinist with a background working within machine shop and manufacturing environments. Skilled in the preparation and machining of cast components using conventional machinery, with a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operating conventional machine tools, including manual lathes and milling machines.

Preparing cast tubes and components for subsequent manufacturing processes.

Carrying out machining operations to achieve required surface finish standards and minimise rework.

Recording dimensional measurements before and after machining operations.

Conducting visual inspections to ensure components meet quality requirements.

Identifying and marking materials correctly, including alloy identification and segregation.

Loading and unloading components using overhead cranes and associated lifting equipment.
