The Audit Office | Te Mana Arotake aims to improve trust and confidence in public services by giving New Zealanders an independent view of government spending and performance. As the statutory auditor of all public organisations, from councils to schools, the Auditor-General's work plays a major part in ensuring that our public sector remains one of the most trusted in the world.
We're looking for a Wellington-based manager to lead the Office's strategy, planning, performance measurement, and governance. This is a fixed-term or secondment opportunity through to 31 May 2028.
In this role, you'll lead a small, capable team in our Strategy and Communications Group. You'll oversee key planning and reporting products (including the annual plan, annual report, and quarterly reporting) and help embed a new performance framework that supports better organisational insight and continuous improvement.
