Manager Laboratory FT McAllen

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing assigned staff and testing in one or more Free Standing ERs, or Hospital Core Laboratories which may consist of Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Limited Microbiology, and Point of Care Sections of the Laboratory in accordance with personnel job descriptions. Maintains a high standard of work and responsible for timely and accurate reporting on all shifts. Remains cognizant of accrediting agency requirements and maintains manuals, logs and other documents to the required standards of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), COLA, The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. Prepares new and revises current Policies and Procedures for Main Core Lab. Assists in implementing new Technologies on new equipment and new methods.
