Manager, Commodity Tax

What You’ll Do:

The Manager, Commodity Tax, will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Indirect tax affairs, managing tax audits, and ensuring proper monthly tax compliance.
+ Oversee, review, and assist with the preparation of indirect tax returns and ensure it is filed accurately and on a timely basis.
+ Stay current on sales tax changes; analyze the implications of any changes to federal and provincial commodity tax rules, published rulings, interpretations, and court cases, and communicate to the appropriate businesses.
+ Manage federal and provincial commodity tax audits including participation to negotiate and settle audit disputes.
+ Train, mentor, and develop other team associates to encourage cross training, succession, and compelling career paths
+ Determine federal and provincial commodity tax implications of recurring and unusual transactions with a view to minimizing tax cost to the CTC group and its subsidiaries
