At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Mammography/DXA Technologist to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Mammographer/DXA Tech is:
* While following MQSA and ACR guidelines, position patients and imaging equipment precisely for a variety of mammography images and procedures.
* In Bone Density, demonstrate consistency in precision and repeated positioning of specific anatomy on the same patients and on varied patients.
* Utilize radiation protection by adhering to ALARA.
* Demonstrate competence in use of all pertinent electronic health systems
* Ensure all images are stored in PACS accurately.
* Participate in QA and QI as determined and required by QA Tech/ Radiation Safety Officer/Manager or Medical Director.
