Mammography Technologist - Breast Imaging HC3 - Per Diem 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Union)

As part of the Imaging Services Team, the Mammography Technologist provides support for the radiologist in the performance of high quality breast imaging and provides related work as required.


Essential Duties:

+ Organizes, plans and directs activities related to patients and breast imaging procedures for their designated areas.

+ Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment (i.e,tomosynthesis unit, stereotactic unit) within the department.necessary to perform studies.

+ Demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills and uses film markers properly.

+ Adjust technical factors in proportion to patient age and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.

+ Performs and/or assists with mammography procedures according to approved department procedure manual.
