Mammography Tech - Breast Imaging HC3 - Per Diem 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

The Mammography Technologist provides support to the Imaging Department by performing high quality diagnostic radiology and screening mammography procedures in an outpatient setting.


Essential Duties:

+ Perform exams proficiently according to established procedures and techniques with minimal errors/poor technical quality that would affect results of interpretation.

+ Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, and calibration procedures according to policy.

+ Assist in cross-training of staff and/or students.

+ Assist patients and physicians during and following procedures.

+ Demonstrate attention to detail in examinations preparation and results.

+ Prepares documents and reports for physicians interpretation!

+ Order, store and maintain adequate supplies in department.

+ Practices correct sterile, aseptic, decontamination and biohazardous waste disposal techniques.
