Summary This position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Facilities Management Service, Maintenance and Repair Section in Fayetteville, NC. Performs maintenance and repair of architectural, mechanical and electrical components of buildings requiring the use of a variety of trades and practices associated with the following occupation: painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and air conditioning. Responsibilities Primary Duties include: Preparing, painting, and refinishing interior and exterior buildings surfaces and other structures, furniture, equipment and machinery; removing and installing floor and ceiling tile, stud walls, and gypsum wall board, windows and doors; replacing electrical lamps and air conditioning filters; and other duties as assigned.
