Maintenance Tradesperson

About The Role

Christchurch Engine Centre is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Tradesperson to provide facilities and maintenance support across all business operations. This is a hands‑on role that involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant, equipment, and site facilities. This is a full‑time permanent position, based in Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general fitting, repair, and maintenance activities
• Coordinate and oversee contractors working on site
• Maintain equipment, plant, buildings, and associated infrastructure
• Support site housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment
• Manage permit‑to‑work activities, including confined space entry and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes
• Carry out equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Conduct electrical testing in accordance with NZS 3760 requirements
