Maintenance Technician - Modern Apprenticeship

NHS Lanarkshire is pleased to announce a Modern Apprenticeship in Maintenance at University Hospital Monklands. The apprentice will be paid as a percentage of qualified staff wages, starting at 60 % in year 1 and reviewed annually in line with the Agenda for Change. Successful completion will lead to transition onto the appropriate salary scale.

• Location: University Hospital Monklands
• Wage: Band 5 (£34,544 – £43,039)
• Duration: Fixed‑term 4 years, starting 18 August 2026, 36 hours a week
• Eligibility: Aged 16 to 24 on 1 August 2026 (or up to 29 with a disability or care experience)
• Qualifications: National 5 or equivalent in English, Maths, Physics and a technological subject at grades A or B
