6 months contract Role with a local authority Summary The Maintenance Surveyor is a critical role within the local authority, responsible for delivering a high-quality and responsive surveying service across Southern Housing's property portfolio. This position ensures that the housing stock is maintained to the highest standards, with repairs completed efficiently and cost-effectively. The role also ensures compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and health and safety requirements. Responsibilities Manage responsive repair cases from initial inspection through to completion. Conduct pre-inspections, work-in-progress inspections, and post-inspections to ensure quality standards are achieved. Monitor contractor performance and take corrective action when standards or timescales are not met. Report progress, issues, and recommendations to the Contract Manager regularly.
