Maintenance Operative

Job Summary

Maintenance Operative – Wigan, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary up to £30,000 depending on experience and skills, plus Serco benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and proactive repairs, including pre‑planned maintenance, to the required standard and within SLA deadlines.
• Manage, purchase and track materials using a company account card from approved Serco suppliers only.
• Ensure health and safety for yourself and all users of the property during and after works are undertaken.
• Inspect company vehicles regularly and keep them in a professional and clean condition.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience in joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting and decorating or a related field.
• Full UK driving licence required and a willingness to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK.
