**Maintenance Mechanic – Industrial Gearbox Assembly & Repair**

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Build and disassemble complex gearboxes, clutches, housings, and shafts using blueprints, engineering drawings, and BOMs.
+ Align bearings, gears, and bushings to exact tolerances for optimal performance.
+ Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, ID/OD gauges, and depth gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality.
+ Inspect parts for wear, defects, and nonconformities; perform corrective actions.
+ Grind, polish, and finish components to required surface specs.
+ Build and maintain lubrication and cooling lines.
+ Test assemblies for noise, leaks, and performance issues; adjust or repair as needed.
+ Maintain accurate logs, test results, and repair records.
+ Operate manual or CNC lathes and mills to fabricate or modify parts.
+ Perform basic welding and fabrication for repairs and new builds.
