Maintenance Mechanic I

Job Summary

​Provides general carpentry and painting to maintain, repair and renovate the physical structure. Provides basic HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to efficiently operate facilities and equipment. Tests, monitors and operates equipment/chemicals for water supply. Removes snow using various types of equipment. Provides assistance to maintain grounds, as required.
Job Duties
+ Performs general carpentry in support of alterations and renovations.
+ Performs masonry tasks when necessary.
+ Installs dry wall, floor and ceiling systems.
+ Prepares all surfaces with joint compound, caulking and sanding.
+ Removes hardware and other items.
+ Places masking tape and drop cloths to protect surfaces.
+ Sets up scaffold and ladders for safe usage.
+ Applies paints, stains and varnishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
+ Returns finished area to working order.
