Responsibilities


+ Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision products, maintaining industrial machines and applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layout, and machining procedures.

+ Perform dismantling, fitting, and assembly work required for production, plant maintenance, or construction.

+ Interpret drawings and sketches, plan work procedures, and perform layout work as necessary.

+ Select and grind tools and cutters, procure or make jigs, fixtures, or machine attachments.

+ Adjust machine stops, feeds, and speeds for efficient machining and machine parts to precision tolerances and specified finishes.
