Maintenance and Operations Work Leader

Summary The position is located in the Facility Management Department (FMD) of the Facility Support Directorate located in the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) in North Chicago Illinois. Responsibilities This position requires a thorough background and working knowledge of all construction trades and utility systems including plumbing, pipefitting, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc. as well as the knowledge and ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise the completion of construction work by all trades. Duties include but may not be limited to: Passing on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started, e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led. Working along with other workers and setting the pace. Demonstrating proper work methods.
