Macro Analyst

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Macro Analyst to help our global trading team develop innovative ways to overlay quantitative and fundamental analysis onto Jane Street’s core trading strategies. Our day-to-day work is diverse, and your focus on global macro topics will help us expand our trading opportunities.

Responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

• Helping to prepare coverage of macro fundamental events and special situations




• Conducting scenario EVs and analysis for scheduled macro events


• Giving real-time EVs for unanticipated macro news; precisely and rapidly communicating valuation changes and investment theses to our global trading teams




• Engaging in detailed, technical discussions with traders by providing macro updates and quantitative analyses, presenting your logic and reasoning grounded in data, numbers, probabilities, and statis...
